Job Description:
Coordination/Liaison Specialist:
The Coordination/Liaison Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of FAO's programs and activities in the assigned region. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, coordination, and liaison skills, as well as a solid understanding of the regional context and its political, economic, and social dynamics.
Requirements:
Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as International Relations, Political Science, or Development Studies
At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar position
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills
Fluency in English and one of the local languages
Rangeland Management Specialist:
The Rangeland Management Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to FAO's programs and activities related to rangeland management and sustainable land use practices in the assigned region. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the ecological, economic, and social aspects of rangeland management and a proven track record of working on similar projects.
Requirements:
Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Agronomy, or Range Management
At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar position
Strong knowledge of rangeland management practices and sustainable land use
Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team
Procurement Assistant:
The Procurement Assistant will provide support to the procurement activities of FAO's programs and projects in the assigned region. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of procurement processes and procedures, as well as experience in managing procurement files and supporting the preparation of procurement-related documents.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Economics
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position
Good knowledge of procurement regulations, rules, and procedures
Excellent organizational and administrative skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Food Safety Specialist:
The Food Safety Specialist will provide technical support and guidance to FAO's programs and activities related to food safety and quality control in the assigned region. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the food safety regulations and standards, as well as experience in implementing food safety programs and projects.
Requirements:
Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as Food Science, Microbiology, or Agricultural Engineering
At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar position
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team
